Fall Back! Get Geared Up for the HOLIDAYS!!!

Well, well, well...it has been a while! And I'm sorry! Before I go into the Holidays are here type stuff, I want to try to do a quick recap of all things foodie funny and mee :)

My last post was about combining my loves of food and comedy and boy have I!

I had the pleasure of attending the first ever Taste Talks Awards at BAM, where I got to sit in the audience as the uber talented Mo Rocca spoke my words--my jokes! I can't begin to describe how thrilling that was for me! And while I didn't get to meet him at the after party, I did get to schmooze with my old MOFAD pals while we munched on some delicious snacks and had a few drinks before we took this very cute and silly photo!

Now, I had the chance to reconnect with my buddies at the Kickstarter launch for their next exhibit, which I haven't had the chance to visit yet. But Chow looks amazing, and I can't wait to check it out--here's a pic from the launch!

And then came October! The Falliest of them all! Maybe? OK, maybe not. It was pretty mild. But, I began working on the booking of my show The Food Funny, which has found its new home at QED in Astoria. I also had the chance to offer my first and final (for the year) East Harlem tour. And the best part about it, was that my guests were related to a couple I've had on my fall tour before, who had booked my final (for the year) Dumbo tour, that also happened to take place when my Aunt and Uncle were in town from England! So we had a full family affair tour! That same week my mother and I shared the stage at our annual Artistic New Directions benefit--she sang and I performed in a sketch I wrote about a Gynocologist who loves a good speech. I also joined a new group of misfits when I was hired by Hella Cocktail Company to be a Brand Ambassador, along with two other kickass ladies. And while I started doing demos in October, November was when I started infiltrating Whole Foods...

Hella Co, minus one Fabiana! Alicia and I are repping the brand for owners Jomaree, Tobin & Eddie--and we all should have taken this picture BEFORE we put our coats on!

And bringing The Food Funny back to life! November 2nd was the first edition of the 2016 show, and featured a Teen Chopped Champion who killed it in his set, and while the other chef wasn't able to make it, I decided to fill in and try something I'd ever done before: Solo Musical Improv. It was a great song, and I'm just sorry that you missed it. It was a great show, and now I'm getting ready for our next one on December 7th, 7:30pm at QED. Tickets are only $7! Come on out! And bring chefs--if they can't perform this time, at least they can get an idea of how supportive the room is and can decide whether they want to take part in the future--assuming QED gives me some dates in 2017.

Now, I'm getting ready for my Holiday tours! So bring on those bookings! Use code CYBER2016Holidays for 25% off your food tours between now and the end of the year! Tomorrow I scout out the food, and it's gonna be delicious! Don't miss out!

It's very unlikely that you'll have any chicken and waffles on the tour, BUT if you're in the mood I suggest Sweet Chick--one of the best meals I had all year!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you come and see me soon--on stage or on tour!

This was how I spent my Halloween, being an extra on the TV show Gotham, where they styled me up and put me out to pasture in a Cemetary! SPOOOOKY!
